I heard about Ringlands Optics from my sister who highly recommended them for new glasses.
After a great deal of thought and reading through the testimonials, I thought I’d give it a try and find out for myself if it could match the high quality of a number of well known stores I have used in the past. Well, my expectations were surpassed. No matter what it is you look for in the ‘customer experience’ Debbie would come top in each category.
If it’s price, Ringlands cannot be matched. The glasses for my prescription were 40% cheaper than I found anywhere else.
If it’s choice, they have a vast range for all faces and frame types. I took my own bought frames with me, and after my quote I bought a second pair from Debbie's stock for sunglasses with polarized lenses!!
If it’s quality, my frames and lenses are faultless and flawless. I have a high prescription and my lenses are now ultra light and thin.
If it’s customer service, this really couldn’t be beaten. Debbie has a wealth of knowledge and experience in this field and it made me feel totally comfortable with my choices and she explained every question I had in plain-speak.
The experience was so good, I took my mum and she now has two new pairs too.

I visited Ringlands after hearing from a friend of mine that you could get your prescriptions at a fraction of the cost. I called Debbie who very quickly found a space for me to visit her in the comfort and privacy you wouldn't get in a High Street opticians. Debbie pulled out a selection of frames that she felt would suit my face; she was very honest about what the glasses looked like on me and didn't push me into the more expensive frames; in fact I think I bought the cheapest ones as they fitted me better!
I have since been back and bought prescription sunglasses as well and I can honestly say I have never had sunglasses measured and fitted to my face before but what a difference it makes.

I needed advice on new reading glasses when taking up a change of work environment. Debbie advised me to take verifocals with inbuilt computer lenses so that I didn’t need to wear my reading glasses on the end of my nose to do my job. This has made my job so much easier as I can now see the computer and read the paper text. This advice was so valuable and she also gave me a pair of ‘just reading’ glasses as part of the price. There were loads of choices of frames that could accommodate my love of anything pink.

I have always tended to use the same High Street opticians; many years at Leightons then latterly at Vision Express. I have always been happy with their standard of service but never that happy with their pricing. It was with absolute delight that I discovered Ringlands Opticians in Andover, where I found a friendly face, great service and great pricing. I was quoted £450 on the High Street for the particular Silhouette frames I wanted, and at Ringlands (without Debbie knowing the High Street price I'd been given) she quoted £300 for exactly the same frame. A very healthy reduction ~ in excess of 30%. That is where I'm going from now on! I now have my new glasses and am delighted with them.

I have worn glasses all my life. I needed a complex prescription (until I had Cataract Surgery). The lenses I needed were thick: it was difficult to find frames to accommodate them. It was also difficult for me to assess what the frames were like without any lenses in them. Mrs Watts has always been very patient in helping me to find frames which accommodate my needs, and are comfortable and flattering for me to wear.
Debbie is friendly, yet always professional, and her knowledge of eye conditions and their effects is very reassuring. I was very pleased to find she had set up her own practice, and am now benefiting from her expertise again.
